The Hub shopping mall in Christchurch has been undergoing some large refurbishments to its already extensive building. The Coffee Club found a tenancy set outside of the mall in a busy carpark area next to The Warehouse and Toyworld.

The long hall like tenancy has high ceilings and exposed ducting which worked well with The Coffee Club's sleek industrial style.

New slender windows along the East side of the building adds more light into the tenancy and is a great spot for coffee drinking in the morning sun.

Bulkheads surrounding the outer edges of the tenancy, along with large hanging pendants, enable the exposed ducting to remain while acting as a partial ceiling.

Timbers are used to soften the space, along with carpet tiles on the floor and bench seating in different areas.

A large print of "how the cathedral was" is positioned on back wall, which is framed in timber and gives a sense of calm to the interior.

A new meeting area is created by a black screen, using mesh glass and pot plants. Inside is a timber slat wall and ceiling to help with the acoustics of the space. A tv mounted on the wall enables skype meetings to happen in a comfortable, private setting.
