The lone bar on the Macquarie University campus in Sydney was in need of an update and PDI was engaged to help revise how the bar functions as well as how the students used the space.

Part one was reviewing the offer and developing an unused section of the bar to have an increase food offer, namely pizza. This required careful specification of equipment to avoid the requirement for extraction, whilst still being able to cater for the proposed numbers.

The second part of the development was updating the way the students used the space, especially the underutilized outdoor areas. By creating covered spaces with fleaxible seating options, the space outside is now usable in all weather and for groups or individuals.

With all of the development the furniture, fixtures and fittings were also updated to give the students a space that offers the same level of interior fit-out expected off campus, as well as the updated food & beverage offer.
